<p><strong>The Paper Bunny</strong> celebrates a major milestone with the opening of its first-ever store outside Singapore, right in the heart of Bonifacio Global City. Nestled inside Uptown Mall, the space brings the brand’s world of thoughtful design, gifting, and intentional living to the Philippines—its largest store to date.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17629107458564.png" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>The boutique is a blend of modern polish with artisanal warmth. Handcrafted wooden pillars, textured walls, and hand-painted surfaces create a tactile space that feels both homey and elevated. Every corner invites you to pause, touch, and explore—just like the brand’s philosophy of finding beauty in the everyday.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17629107632406.png" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>At the center of the store is <strong>The Atelier</strong>, a rotating showcase space that will host special collections, creative experiences, and collaborations. For the launch, The Paper Bunny partnered with celebrated Filipino artist Leeroy New, who reimagined the brand’s iconic Arc silhouette using discarded materials from both the brand and locally sourced waste. How did you translate that philosophy into the physical experience of your first store outside Singapore?</strong></div><p><strong>The Paper Bunny:</strong> Opening our first store outside Singapore is so special for us and we wanted the space to feel like everything The Paper Bunny stands for—intentionality, thoughtful design, and discovery. Every element, material and texture in the store was thoughtfully considered to create an immersive space for our community to explore and delight in. It’s designed to be a tactile space where our community can come in to pick and choose thoughtful pieces for what an intentional life looks like to them, and to be inspired to share that with others.</p><p>Unlike a cookie-cutter concept, the TPB Uptown BGC store was custom-designed for the Philippines—a space that feels familiar yet refreshingly new. It stays true to our brand’s core while introducing exclusive, locally tailored experiences and designs—a first of many we’re excited to share with our community.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17629108094575.png" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><strong>MS: Collaborating with Filipino artist Leeroy New is such a bold and inspired choice. What led you to this partnership, and how does his work reflect The Paper Bunny’s values?</strong></div><p><strong>TPB: </strong>We wanted to work with a Filipino artist to create something that represented the brand’s integration into the Philippines and we wanted to create something that celebrated local artistry and craftsmanship while still being authentically TPB in a meaningful way.</p><p>Leeroy’s work is imaginative, expressive and incredibly inspiring—it is not only exciting, it is also deeply rooted in community and sustainability. That resonates so much with what we believe in at The Paper Bunny, and it was a dream to work with him to create something special for this milestone. For the installation, we used both discarded materials from the brand as well as locally sourced waste materials to create this installation, including woven discs crafted by Filipino artisans. It serves as a symbolic expression of the brand’s long-awaited arrival in the Philippines—a harmonious fusion of TPB’s design language with Filipino creativity, craftsmanship, and a nod to cultural connection.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>MS: The Philippines has long been one of your strongest online markets. What made you decide that now is the right time to open a permanent space here?</strong></div><p><strong>TPB: </strong>We have actually been working on opening a store here in Manila for a long time—we’ve always known that the Philippines would be our first stop, and it has been quite a journey but we are so grateful that we are finally here. The Philippines has such amazing and warm energy and our Filipino community is special to us—we are so glad to be able to bring the brand here and create a space where we can connect with our community in person.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17629108236988.png" style="width:1000px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><strong>MS: The store includes The Atelier, a space for rotating showcases and experiences. How do you envision this element evolving over time and engaging your Filipino community?</strong></div><p><strong>TPB: </strong>The Atelier is meant to be a living, breathing part of the store—the space evolves with the seasons and stories we tell. It is where we hope to be able to bring our Filipino community together for intimate preview sessions, limited experiences or showcases from time to time, and to be able to share with them the creative process behind the work we do. We are kickstarting this by having a TPB Charms Bar in the Atelier, where our customers can design their own set of mini TPB charms and take back something special with them.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>MS: As you expand beyond Singapore, how do you see The Paper Bunny growing while staying true to its original DNA of mindfulness, design, and purpose?</strong></div><p><strong>TPB:</strong> At our core, we’ve always believed that good design can inspire better living—and that belief doesn’t change wherever we go. Growth for us isn’t just about opening more stores; it’s about deepening our connection with people through thoughtful and well-made products that journey with them and the stories we share. We want to offer a beautiful, fun and relevant way of living life to everyone wherever we go.
