Celebrity Makeup Artist Anthea Bueno Tells Us How To Get The Beauty Looks At #Metrowear2018
Last Thursday, November 22, fashion designer Vania Romoff made a major comeback to the Metrowear stage as she showcased her biggest collection to date! In the said event, we saw loads of soft romantic details, feminine silhouettes, ruffles and bows galore, richly embroidered dresses with dramatic swathes of tulle and, of course, a selection of lush gowns that will surely be red carpet hits.
With her own brand of elegant whimsy, Vania is known for putting stunning, ethereal runway looks, and that always extends to the beauty look, often via inventive, unexpected makeup looks and alluring hairstyles with dreamy accessories. And for her biggest collection to date, Vania tapped celebrity makeup artist, Anthea Bueno as the lead makeup artist, with Sylvina Lopez as the assistant key artist and hairstylist Suyen Salazar to create fashion-forward looks for models' locks.
Below is just a taste of it, a selection of the best beauty moments that caught our attention backstage and on the runway. They are just too pretty to not be copied, and admired for what they are: beauty statements worthy of an equally breathtaking show.
Those metallic streaks. Those baby soft pink lips. Those flushed, rosebud cheeks. Describing this romantic look is almost like writing poetry. To get this look, makeup artist Anthea Bueno used a copper or gold metallic powder mixed with setting spray and applied it on with a mascara fan or a fluffy long blending brush. As for the hair, hairstylist Suyen kept it clean and slicked back.
Blurred Red Lips
No, you don’t need to get your eyes checked. For this look, lipstick was intentionally blurry. Edges were faded, centers were darkened, the lipstick was blotted away until it became a soft, hazy stain.
There was no shortage of spakle at Metrowear. First seen at London Fashion Week at Preen’s A/W 2018 fashion show, Anthea gave this forehead glitter look a modern twist as models strutted their stuff down the catwalk with a covering of magical glitter shining from above their eyes. A mix of fine and big gold glitters were placed up to 1/3 part of the hair of the models and across forehead.

In all, it was another divine showing from Vania and the Metrowear team. ‘Til next year, everyone!
