Why Meghan Markle Isn’t Using A Makeup Artist At All For The Royal Wedding

The much-awaited royal wedding is nearly upon us. Yes, just like that, Prince Harry and his American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle will tie the knot this Saturday in Windsor, London.

Of course, as dedicated beauty junkies, aside from her dress, we can’t wait to see Meghan’s wedding day beauty look, and this got us thinking: What will her hair and makeup look like?

Ever since Meghan transitioned into royal life, we’ve noticed that her beauty routine has gotten more natural. And we’ve got to admit, her almost no-makeup look complete with a messy bun is refreshing compared with other royalties.

For the royal wedding on Saturday, just like her future sister-in-law, Meghan has also decided not to hire professionals to do her makeup. Instead of getting a glam team, the American actress will do her own face, with the help of her two close friends. "She’s got two friends doing it for her from America. They’re not professionals – just close friends of hers,” an insider told The Express.

The source also added, "They are coming to stay at Windsor Castle ahead of the wedding, where they will be put up in the staff accommodation."

As for the actual look, beauty experts are speculating that she’ll keep the makeup about as natural as wedding beauty goes—a style that we’ve always seen her wear in her royal appearances. She might mimic Kate Middleton’s classic smoky eye, we also predict a light pink lip—overall, emphasizing her natural beauty with minimal makeup.

For the hair, as we all know, unlike Kate, Meghan’s isn’t always princess perfect, she actually won our hearts over with her partial messy looks because it’s something that's achievable. Or possibly, experts also specualte that she might opt for loose waves, but maybe with a little more bounce and volume to match her waves.

“I don’t foresee her stepping outside the box on a day that will be remembered forever, a day she wants to feel like the best version of herself,” says Iconic London makeup artist Lydia Sellers in an interview for Marie Claire. "She will, however, want to wear lots of mascara, as she loves a big lash.”

Of course, only time will tell what Meghan will wear on Satruday—but as we’ve seen in her most recent looks, we feel like she doesn’t tend to experiment too much with daring looks.
