Let Her Studio Russian Pedicure

<p>Just in case you didn’t know, there is a <strong>Russian Pedicure</strong> studio in the Metro. You read that right: a nail studio that specializes in pedicures. The private nail studio is called Let Her and was founded by <strong>Casey Russell</strong>, a woman who has lived many lives as an entrepreneur, photographer, and producer.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px;display:block" width="700"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1781596913487mani 3.JPG" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" width="700"/><span class="fr-inner">Russian Manicure</span></span></span></div><p>Her journey of setting up her own nail studio has not been an easy one, but it was an inevitable one. Casey grew up in a salon and has been doing pedicures for years, but it took her some time to refine her skills and officially call herself a Russian manicure and pedicure nail tech. But after two years of studying and training Php 200,000 worth of local and international courses, she has become an expert at her craft and is even planning on taking an online Canadian course in Podiatry to further her knowledge on how to best treat feet with special cases.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1781597016488tempImageHgRaVx.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/></div><div><br/></div><p>But why does she care specifically about feet, you may ask. Well, Casey shares that it’s not just trying to earn from an untapped market but also comes from her own personal frustration. “From my own experience, I struggled to find a pedicurist who truly prioritized both quality and care, and that made me realize there was a gap I wanted to fill.” Moreover, she felt like people don’t necessarily invest in pedicures the way they do with manicures, and she wanted to change that. “I wanted Let Her to create an experience where foot care isn’t treated as an afterthought, but as an essential part of feeling confident, cared for, and put together.”</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px;display:block" width="700"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1781597061511tempImageGU4pKc.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" width="700"/><span class="fr-inner">Casey Russell doing her magic</span></span></span></div><p>So how does a Russian Pedicure differ from a regular one? Casey shares that this technique <strong>“focuses more on detailed cuticle work and deep cleaning around the nails using electric drill bits, which gives a much cleaner and more polished finish. A regular pedicure is usually more focused on basic cleaning, soaking, and polish application.”</strong> It&#x27;s also best maintained every 4-6 weeks because, according to her, “The key is consistency. Regular care keeps the nails and feet healthy, clean, and prevents buildup instead of fixing the damage later.”</p><p>Read below as we get to know more about the artist and the technique redefining modern nail care. Plus, our personal review of Let Her’s Russian Pedicure service.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>What&#x27;s the story behind naming the studio &quot;Let Her&quot;?</strong></div><p>The story behind naming my brand Let Her came from a simple but powerful idea: to let her be the best version of herself. That thought really became the heart of the brand. A celebration of every woman’s authentic self, how she feels about herself, and who she chooses to become. Let Her is more than just a name; it’s a reminder to let her grow, feel, express, and shine in her own way.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>What made you want to create a studio that focuses on pedicures?</strong></div><p>I chose to focus my brand more on pedicures because feet are often the most neglected part of self-care. People invest so much into manicures, yet overlook the part of them that carries them every single day. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Can you tell us a little bit more about the services you offer?</strong></div><p>At Let Her Studio, our services focus first on the health of the nails and feet; the aesthetic is simply a bonus. We believe beauty starts with proper care, which is why we offer services such as hand spa, foot spa, callus removal, care for toenails with medical conditions, and most importantly, our signature candle oil foot massage spa designed to bring both relaxation and comfort.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>What are the upsides and downsides of this type of pedicure?</strong></div><p>The upside of a Russian Pedicure is that it looks super clean, lasts longer, and really improves the overall appearance of the nails. But the downside is that it has to be done properly and gently by a trained professional, because being too aggressive can damage the skin or nail barrier. At the end of the day, it’s not about removing more skin; it’s about healthier and cleaner nail care, done correctly.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Who do you think should try the service?</strong></div><p>Anyone who wants healthier feet should try it, especially people who are always on their feet or tend to neglect foot care. Your feet carry you every day; they deserve care too, not just attention when they’re being shown off.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>You also use your own products when you do your pedicure service. Can you tell us a little more about that?</strong></div><p>I own a skincare brand, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/savonessentials_" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@savonessentials_</a>, and a candle brand, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/vintagecandlesph" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@vintagecandlesph</a>. Beauty has always been something I’ve loved, and ever since I was young, I’ve always dreamed of having my own nail studio, and that’s what led me to create Let Her.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>What do you want clients to feel during and even after their session at Let Her?</strong></div><p>As a business owner, I want my clients to feel truly cared for, not just treated or serviced. My goal has always been for them to feel seen, valued, and looked after in every way. From the moment they step into the studio, I want them to feel that sense of elegance and care right away, like they’ve entered a space built just for them.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>OUR EXPERIENCE</strong></div><p>I’m not a complete stranger when it comes to the Russian manicure technique, as I had the pleasure of trying it out, and I still reckon that that was one of the best manicures I’ve ever had to this day. I’m quite familiar with the intricate process and the strictness that comes with calling oneself a certified Russian nail technician. It takes a lot of training and hours of practical exams to certify as one. Since my experience with the mani a few years back, I’ve seen a number of salons and private studios offer the service. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that there was a studio in Manila that specialized in Russian pedicures.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px;display:block" width="700"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1781597152572mani 2.JPG" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" width="700"/><span class="fr-inner">Russian Manicures and Pedicures require precision and attention to detail</span></span></span></div><p>From the moment you step inside Let Her’s studio, you’ll know that you’re about to get your money’s worth. It may not be inside a high-end hotel or upscale mall, but the studio is still every bit as elevated, maybe even more so. It’s private but not intimidating, and everything is intentional– from the beautifully sunlit space to the comfortable Lazy Boy chair you get to sit on for hours to get your nails done, to the complimentary homemade matcha, down to the toiletries in the bathroom that include feminine products.</p><p>With my line of work, I get to try a lot of beauty and wellness services, and yes, that includes foot spas and pedicures. And as much as I am thankful to be pampered and be able to try a multitude of services, there are times that the idea of relaxation is better in my head than in real life. Sometimes, especially when it comes to foot services that tend to have multiple steps, it can easily feel clunky and disorganized. Not at this studio though. </p><p>The service was done so expertly and seamlessly. It was just relaxation all the way that I didn’t even realize we were already done. As for the results, I’ll be honest that I haven’t been giving my feet the attention they deserve, so I already knew coming in that they had their work cut out for them, and I was skeptical about how much my feet could really change in just one session. And all I can say is, after the pedicure was done, my feet have never looked better. It’s not lost on me that that may sound hyperbolic, but I can honestly say that they gave my feet a makeover! For months, I was a little insecure wearing open-toed heels because my feet did not look and feel their best. But now, they not only look pretty but also healthy. It may seem like an unnecessary luxury at first glance, but what it is is investing in your feet’s health. I have heard a lot of horror stories from friends of botched pedicures, as feet require a little more sensitivity and precision. One false clip can easily result in infection and can domino into bigger problems after.
