Zendaya Odyssey Makeup Looks

<p>Whenever <strong>Zendaya</strong> attends high-profile red carpet events, her long-time, trusted stylist Law Roach has always made her shine, no matter the occasion. With her press tour for her recent role as the goddess <strong>Athena</strong> in <strong>Christopher Nolan</strong>’s cinematic adaptation of <strong>Homer’s The Odyssey</strong>, they did not disappoint. They curated a divine wardrobe with ethereal hair and makeup to punctuate her look as an otherworldly <strong>Greek goddess</strong>.   </p><p>But while the jaw-dropping gowns dominated headlines, it was the beauty looks engineered by celebrity makeup artist <strong>Ernesto Casillas</strong> that truly brought the divine vision to life. By stripping back the heavy glam look, he finished off the press looks with ethereal grace.</p><p>At the New York City premiere, Zendaya stepped out in a dramatic, winged, white Matières Fécales gown. The dress featured a structured bodice with busy feathered details, with her hair waved and loosely braided to give the look of an effortlessly elegant goddess, reminiscent of her character, the Greek goddess Athena. Using quality skincare to heavily prep the face, he mixed a sheer liquid essence into her foundation to allow her natural complexion to peek through while still evening out the base. Casillas completely skipped mascara and dark shadow, leaving her eyes bare and framed only by softly brushed brows. A touch of terracotta brown cream blush on the high points of her face and a hint of tinted pink to finish the effortless looking makeup.</p><p>Contrasting her minimalist New York appearance, Zendaya’s London press stops leaned heavily into structured tailoring, with a white fresh off the runway gown from Schiaparelli with a molded bodice and fringed skirt. The eyes, unlike the bare New York look, were defined with soft, smoky brown eyeshadow, sharp eyeliner, and long, separated lashes with a striking matte white highlight on her inner corner that brings attention to her eyes. This balanced a classic nude-brown lip  that effortlessly bridged the modern structure of her gown with a classical makeup look.</p><p>The hair throughout The Odyssey tour served as an extension of her wardrobe. Rather than sleek, flat-ironed styles, Zendaya leaned heavily into rich texture and historical-inspired hairstyles. Her hair in the London premier was long and cascading behind her, giving her a free and unfettered look despite the glamorous gown and makeup. </p><p>For the Paris premiere, matching a custom Louis Vuitton lace gown, her hair was spun into an intricate, regal Greek god-inspired braided crown that framed a diamond encrusted choker with a sapphire center setting. It&#x27;s about putting in the effort on the base canvas and allowing structural simplicity and styling to let your natural beauty shine through. </p>
