Botox for Men

<p>Skincare for men has thankfully moved beyond the face wash-and-moisturizer combination. We know our serums, we wear SPF, and increasingly, treatments at the dermatologist are becoming another part of taking care of ourselves.</p><p>Still, there are certain treatments that can feel like a bigger commitment. <strong>Botox</strong> is probably high on that list.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1785825972781pexels-fernando-capetillo-94107723-38167608.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/></div><div><br/></div><p>I recently visited <strong>Luminisce Prima </strong>to try a lineup of treatments that included the <strong>Luxury Facial, EXION, BabySkin with PRP,</strong> and<strong> 40 units of Baby Botox.</strong> Going into it, my main concern was simple: I wanted to look fresher without looking noticeably “done.”</p><p>That turned out to be the sweet spot. As I prepare for Fashion Week in Milan and Paris, this was exactly the boost my skin needed!</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>A Different Kind of Self-Care for Men</strong></div><p>Luminisce Prima is the newest and fourth clinic of Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations, which <strong>Dr. Kristina “Kaycee” Reyes</strong> founded in 2012. The space feels polished and premium, but the experience itself is surprisingly approachable. You can come in with a specific concern or simply with the idea that you want your skin to look better, and the treatments can be built from there.</p><p>For men who may not know where to begin with in-clinic skincare, that makes a difference.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Starting With the Luxury Facial</strong></div><p>The easiest entry point was Luminisce’s Luxury Facial, one of the clinic’s original treatments. It covers the essentials I would want from a proper facial: deep cleansing, removal of blackheads and whiteheads, hydration, and attention to the pores.</p><p>Luminisce also incorporates sonophoresis, which uses ultrasound waves to help deliver skincare ingredients, followed by oxygenation to hydrate the skin.</p><p>It was a good reset before moving into the more technology-driven treatments. If your skincare routine is fairly straightforward, this is probably the least intimidating place to start. You leave feeling properly cleaned up and refreshed without needing to think too much about it.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Then Came EXION</strong></div><p>Next was EXION, which sounded much more serious than it actually felt.</p><p>The technology combines radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen and elastin while encouraging the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid. Luminisce uses it for concerns such as facial tightening and contouring, fine lines, and skin laxity.</p><p>What appealed to me about EXION was the kind of result it aims for. I wasn’t looking to dramatically change the shape of my face. I wanted something that could make the skin look tighter, healthier, and generally more put together.</p><p>That distinction is important for men who are curious about aesthetic treatments but worry that the results will be obvious. A lot of modern treatments are designed around gradual improvements to the quality and firmness of the skin rather than completely changing your features.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>BabySkin With PRP</strong></div><p>I also tried BabySkin with PRP, another treatment focused on skin quality and regeneration.</p><p>PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, uses components derived from your own blood and is commonly incorporated into regenerative aesthetic treatments. Paired with BabySkin, the goal was less about changing anything structurally and more about giving the skin that smoother, healthier-looking finish.</p><p>This is where I started understanding the logic behind combining treatments. A good facial handles cleansing and hydration. Technologies like EXION address firmness and collagen. You simply want your skin on a particularly good day.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The One I Was Most Curious About: Baby Botox</strong></div><p>Then came my <strong>40 units of Baby Botox.</strong></p><p>For someone new to injectables, the word Botox can immediately bring to mind completely frozen foreheads and expressions that barely move. Baby Botox takes a more restrained approach, using carefully placed amounts of neurotoxin to soften the appearance of expression lines while maintaining a natural-looking result.</p><p>That subtlety made sense for me.I still wanted movement. I still wanted my face to look like my face. I just wanted some of the lines that become more apparent when you’re tired, stressed, or constantly expressive to look softer</p><p>And this is probably where I make the strongest case for men trying Botox: you don&#x27;t necessarily have to wait until you want a dramatic correction. Under the guidance of a qualified doctor, it can be approached conservatively and tailored to how much movement and change you&#x27;re actually comfortable with.</p><p>For me, 40 units felt like an introduction rather than an overhaul.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The Luminisce Approach</strong></div><p>Behind the clinic is Dr. Kaycee Reyes, whose training includes a Diploma in Dermatology from King’s College London and a Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology from St. John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s &amp; St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. These give patients options depending on whether their concern is texture, laxity, volume, pigmentation, or general skin quality.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>So, Should Men Be Getting These Treatments?</strong></div><p>My biggest takeaway from the experience is that men&#x27;s skincare can be as simple or as involved as you want it to be.</p><p>You can start with a facial. You can explore treatments that encourage collagen and tighten the skin. And if Botox is something you&#x27;ve been curious about, starting conservatively under a doctor&#x27;s guidance can make the experience feel far less daunting.</p><p>There also doesn&#x27;t need to be a major skin problem before you book an appointment. Sometimes the goal is maintenance. Sometimes you want to look less tired. Sometimes you want your skin to look better in photos.
