This Scent Collection Brings You to the Scottish Highlands

Jo Malone London presents four limited-edition scents under The Highlands collection

Jo Malone London transformed the Mega Fashion Hall’s ground floor into a dreamy space of lavender with a floor-to-ceiling mirrored flower room to launch The Highlands collection.

The intimate event welcomed lovers of Jo Malone London including Metro’s April cover girl Janine Gutierrez, film director Sam Lee, along with celebrity fashion stylists Sidney Yap, Melville Sy, and Maita Baello.

Guests got first dibs at the flower room, recreating the fascination brought about by the limited-edition scents. They were also treated to a bouquet bar featuring fresh roses, lavender, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus among a plethora of blooms.

Jo Malone London - The Highlands Collection

Every season, Jo Malone London presents limited-edition releases, drawing from various inspirations. This May, the brand seeks to bring you to the Scottish Highlands with colognes that draw from “misty moors, heather-clad hills, and ancient castles reclaimed by nature.”

Four colognes feature in the collection: Melancholy Thistle, Highland Heather, Mallow On the Moor, and Wild Achillea.

Melancholy Thistle is a tribute to the blooms that surround a long-abandoned castle in the Scottish Highlands. It’s a woody aromatic scent that’s universal and almost surreal. Highland Heather recalls the dew of the morning on fields of heather, underpinned by English lavender, cypress, and, amber. Mallow On The Moor brings to you the purple mallow flowers, bursting with sweet nectar. Wild Achillea combines greenness with soft white musk, bergamot, and nettle.

Each scent is available in 30ml bottles. You can buy your picks individually or purchase the whole set of four.

Wear one scent to your liking on its own, but you can also layer two scents together. Insider tip: Melancholy Thistle goes best with Mallow On The Moor, while Highland Heather goes well with Wild Achillea.

The Highlands collection bottles distinguish themselves from the usual Jo Malone London clear design. Colorful illustrations, featuring the flowers that serve as the heart of each scent, make each cologne a beautiful visual addition to your vanity.

Jo Malone London stays true to their sustainability commitment as The Highlands collection is manufactured through solar power and renewable electricity in the United Kingdom. The iconic cream box, in which the bottled are packaged, is made from at least 70 percent recycled materials. The shopping bags, with the exception of the handles, are recyclable and biodegradable.

The Jo Malone London installation will serve as an interactive display until May 14th so you can get your selfies and a special shopping experience of both The Highlands collection and your favorite regular Jo Malone London scents. And what do you know? It’s the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day as well. —Olivia Sylvia Estrada
