A delight for all beauty enthusiasts in the Philippines—Luxasia Philippines brings us to the sweet-divine scent of this new Middle Eastern perfume brand, KAYALI. On July 4, the brand was officially introduced at Vestido Manila and immersed everyone in a spectacular experience through a sweet candy-like perfume house. This viral fragrance brand left everyone mesmerized addressing their curiosity on the nuances of each bottle, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.

KAYALI Fragrances, which means ‘My imagination’ in Arabic, was launched in 2018 and was born out of the love of fragrances by Mona Kattan. She describes herself as a very emotional person, and being one makes every scent for her an experience; something that’s immortalized in her memories. It's true for us all—every single scent you remember reminds you of a certain moment in life.

The sophisticated spotlight of KAYALI welcomed everyone to a sugary journey, with an exclusive Mona’s candy shop inside the event, surrounding every corner of the room with sweet treats, drinks, and fun activities for the visitors. You can even make your own candy bracelets, and roll the wheel to win cute KAYALI inspired-earrings!

Luxury is intertwined with Mona’s passion for perfumes, and of course, the main attraction of the event was none other than the chic, elegant bottles and candy-like perfumes of KAYALI Fragrances. They come in five best-selling scents, namely: Utopia Vanilla Coco 21, Eden Juicy Apple 01, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 42, Vanilla 28, and Yum Pistachio Gelato 33. These subtle scents were inspired by when Mona lived in Dubai, well known for their culture of layering perfumes without overpowering it, and forming a special bond between the perfume and the person, creating their signature scent by using the brand.

During the event, we acquired helpful tips on how to use your perfume in the best possible way. We have many myths that need to be busted, especially here in the country—from creating certain routines to make perfume last longer, or how many sprays you need in order to maximize the scent of an expensive bottle. But did you know that no perfume is yet made for acidic people? Tin Conde, Fragrance Expert and Senior Manager at Luxasia Philippines, clarifies the myth about ‘sweet perfumes not being suitable for acidic people because once used, you’ll end up smelling unpleasant.’ In an interview with Metro.Style, she gave us a tip on how to perfectly find the perfume that suits your body aroma, saying “What you need to do is put the perfume on your skin, test if it has a good smell, or if it matches your body chemistry.” You can do this when you're in the mall—spritz on a fragrance you're eyeing, wear it while strolling around, and see how your skin reacts to it.

Furthermore, she clarifies the typical idea of rubbing the perfume within the pulse of your hand. “Perfumes have a formulation wherein, if you rub them, the intact molecules will deteriorate. So let it set first before smelling it.” She further explained the right amount of perfume we should be spraying in our body, saying, “Just put 2-3 sprays from your left and right pulse and neck, or if you are used to spraying 10 sprays in every corner of your body, try to reduce it and make it five so you don’t overdo the scent of your fragrance.“ This will indeed help us maximize our fragrances without wasting them, making our scents work to our advantage.
