“During quarantine I shaved my hair completely bald and applied aloe plant. My go-to and trusty beauty accompaniment are La Prairie sets for my eyes and face. Truly, I am so lucky to be blessed with good skin that needs no help.”

“Generally, since quarantine my beauty routine is simple. When I wake in the morning, I wash my face with a liquid cleanser. [Once the day ends,] after applying my makeup remover, I wash my face using a face towel because it removes residues from my face. It also revitalizes the facial skin the way a scrub works on the skin. I also use an Eyesonic apparatus under and the corner of my eyes. For daytime, I only apply sunscreen, and at night time, I apply cream on my face and neck.”

“I take a quick shower to wake up my senses, and finish up with a warm body scrub using my own healing blends of body oils and bath concoctions to get the circulation going in my system. I proceed to wash my face, gently giving it a deep tissue massage to lessen the lines around my face, neck and forehead. I use some beauty tools like the guasha and jade roller to intensify and massage the oils deep down into the layers of my skin. I have been using fractionated coconut oils with my favorite blends of lavender and mint for my body, as well as chamomile and neroli essential oils for my face. The moment I find the time to do so, I would find myself reaching out for an anti-aging face mask and an LED light mask placed over it, to allow the light to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The use of jade rollers and guasha also helped rejuvenate and gave my skin more elasticity. “

“My beauty must-haves are a good moisturizer, sunscreen, and hair serum. The face, neck, and crowning glory—the hair—are all addressed! In the beginning of the lockdown, in tandem with the "immersion in Korean dramas," I had matching Korean face masks on while I binge watched! That was really fun! I find that the face masks really make my skin more dewy!”

“My quarantine beauty routine stayed the same, except for wearing make-up. Skincare routine for me is a habit so not much has drastically changed. However, I did have more time for a face mask or hot oil treatment. My blow-dry time cut down dramatically, but I do it still to feel a bit more polished even in quarantine. I think I was worried more about the hair, as I have never seen my hair so raw without the pleasure of hair color. Since alcohol dries up the hands, my Moroccan oil and Weleda hand cream were my go-to, including Nailitiques for stronger nails. I got a Jade roller from my nephew two Christmases back, and now I can say I appreciate it as I have more time in front of the TV! I also love my Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift 2-in-1 Cleansing & Micro-Firming Massage Device; it's like having a facial at home although I really don’t frequent facial clinics before, so I am set on simple routines. My top three beauty non-negotiables are Cetaphil cleansing soap, toner, and eye and facial cream. I'm lucky to have a stock of Drunk Elephant (Framboos Glycolic Night Serum and C-Firma Day Serum) and Kiehl's (Ultra Facial Cream and Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream) and my being a bit of a hoarder has paid off this time. I also swear by Kat Burki Super Peptide Firming Creme and Omorovicza Blue Diamond Eye Cream, they are more difficult to source, so I alternate these products.”
