Free waxing for the benefit of farmers
Hey Sugar! Waxing Salon is one of the pioneers of all-natural beauty services in the Philippines for their safe and organic sugar waxing. They harness the natural powers of sugar as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, with wound-healing and burn-soothing properties, to offer all-natural hair removal services at a very affordable price. In fact, using sugar wax is also beneficial for ladies who have sensitive skin because it’s purely plant-based, promotes less hair breakage, and causes less chance of ingrown hair.
Hey Sugar’s waxing services are very popular among women
because they offer premium services at a very affordable price point. But what
if you can enjoy their services for free this Women’s Month?
This coming March 19, Hey Sugar will again be holding their annual National Hair-free Day, where patrons can enjoy free eyebrow threading or underarm waxing if you donate at least 20 pesos for the benefit of the farmers in Albay. The thrust of the campaign is to raise awareness and funds for the hardworking local farmers from Bicol, and help them pay for their children’s schooling, their daily food needs, and the seeds and tools they need to buy for the next harvest season.
Launched last February 27 at Katherine’s Café Manila Bay, the National Hair-free Day will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 19, Thursday. Over forty branches of Hey Sugar across the Philippines will be participating in this campaign, and they’re encouraging all women to take this opportunity to pamper themselves—for a cause.
Celebrating your Filipina Beauty journey
Filipinas have always lamented their morena skin, giving birth to a huge demand for whitening products in the market. But in the recent years, it’s inspiring to see more and more women are learning to embrace their own brands of beauty, and understanding that we shouldn’t be holding ourselves to unrealistic standards set by others.
Loving and accepting your own beauty journey as a Filipino woman is one of the thrusts of the #FilipinaBeautyJourney campaign by Vivere Salon, Nailaholics, and Maxwax this Women’s Month. Launched last March 3 at Vivere Salon Greenhills, this hashtag calls for women of all shapes, color, and sizes to encourage more women to feel at home in their own bodies.
The month-long celebration of the #FilipinaBeautyJourney will be filled with promotions and exclusive offers in the participating stores. So, stay tuned!
