BTS Slayed the VMAs 2020 Stage In Their Slick, Retro-Inspired Looks
We're digging their glossy, dandy 'dos!
In case you missed it, the top boy group in the world, K-pop band BTS made an explosive performance at this year's socially-distanced MTV Video Music Awards!
Fresh from the debut of their latest single 'Dynamite', which has raked in 257 million views on Youtube as of writing, Jin, V, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, Suga, and Jimin proved that they deserve the spotlight on that VMAs stage, even if it means performing all the way from Seoul.
The socially-distanced show, which pushed through despite the on-going pandemic proves that performers live up to their promise of offering hope and entertainment even amidst trying times, giving their very best effort to share some happiness through their lively performances—a much-needed treat, or a welcome break, if you will.
Such is the case for Korean boy group BTS, the septet that has relentlessly given their fans unending inspiration through the most trying of times. As group leader RM said in an interview with USA Today, "The goal of 'Dynamite' is really simple ... to explore the world with positive vibes and energy," he said. "We’ve been through all the sadness and desperation but with this song and performance we just hope the world gets more positive and be happy."
And boy are the fans happy. Witnessing their music video performance online is like watching an infectious montage of happy scenes, one that has to be danced to, and their VMA performance is no different. Clad in the latest retro-inspired Gucci threads reminiscent of dandy '70s dudes, BTS changed their look up too—trading in their trademark neon-colored hairstyles for slicker, and sleeker 'dos. We adore them in their pink, orange, yellow curly hair and out-of-this-world colored eyes, but we can't complain about these handsome gents in their dapper statements either.
