Last week, celebrity hairstylist Anton Papa took to Instagram to debut Jessy’s new look: A sleek, blunt LOB that exudes sophistication. The cut isn’t major for the actress, who never strays from different hairstyles, but it’s a refreshing one for a change this year.
“We argued tons of times before we finally decided to do this haircut,” Anton shared. “She wanted to change her hair since last year but I told her she can't because she was still shooting for her movies at that time and it will be hard for me to continue her look with just putting hair extensions. Good thing she always listens to what I have to say to what hair she should wear. Then fortunately, we did a campaign shoot late February and she told me she wanted to finally do the short hair before the shoot and I agreed, because her hairstyle change was long overdue.”
Anton, whose client roster includes Toni Gonzaga, Julia Barretto, Alex Gonzaga, Anne Curtis and more, also shared why this chic cut is beloved by hairsylists and celebs. “First of all, it flatters almost every face shape and hair type. It’s low maintenance and very easy to style.”
“Your hair can even appear thicker when cut properly. And because it’s not too long or too short, you’ve got tons of styling options—straight, braids, waves," he continued.
