1. You mentioned that this isn't the first time you worked with Dua Lipa. How has it been working with her so far? Any striking traits you love about her?

I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with Dua. It’s her third time coming to Manila. Warner Music Philippines was the one that booked me directly. Dua Lipa and her team were very particular [about her look]. Luckily, I was the one booked [for the job]. Her first trip here, she had a guesting for a radio program, an ASAP TV guesting, then a media launch live performance, and a cover shoot for a magazine. Her second visit was for a concert/music festival with other international artists. And last but not least was for her self-titled concert at the MOA Arena. Its been a dream to work with Dua Lipa. She’s such a sweetheart and very down to earth, aside from her obvious talent and success at a very young age. She deserves every bit of it!

2. Describe the look you created on her. What are the key products you used?

We always do something sleek and clean. I love her style, and she’s always true to herself. No fuss. I personally love using the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. It cuts the drying time in half and isn’t as loud as the typical professional blowdryer. For a look this sleek, I use a strong hold gel. To finish it off, I would opt for a strong hold finishing hairspray.

3. What are your top tips for recreating the signature Dua Lipa look?

We always do preps in her hotel room, so she’s always fresh from the shower. Less is more. First, apply mousse, then wrap dry using cold air to remove the moisture and to maintain natural hair texture. As much as you want the hair to be sleek with a wet finish, I opt for a shine spray instead of using a wet strong hold gel. Dua always performs live, so every strand needs to be kept in place.
