<p>While its been a tradition for many of us (me included) to find a sense of refresh in the new year with a hair reset, we’re doing something different this 2024. This year, instead of pressuring yourself to do big leaps to feel like you’re changing for the better, consider a kinder approach of doing little things that don’t feel overwhelming but still make you feel like you’re doing something for yourself. The studio had its first successful branch in BGC that opened in 2019 and now they’ve finally added a new branch at Podium. Designed by Enn Studio, the studio’s new interiors reflect the salon’s core philosophy of existentialism. One of their treatments in particular, the <strong>Nano Steam Treatment</strong>, that uses a different technique to repair hair, has caught our eye.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Who it’s for</strong></div><p>The treatment is for everyone but it is especially advised for damaged and/or colored hair to bring it back to life and give it some bounce again. At KOOP Studio, they use a gentler approach but promises to be just as effective. We started off the treatment with a Steam-Powered Pore Opening technique using steam and warm water to gently open the hair&#x27;s pores for deeper penetration of the nourishing ingredients.</p><div><br/></div><p>Next, we moved on to the Japanese Treatment with Collagen. The special formula helps repair the hair&#x27;s bonds and contributes to the overall longevity and health of the hair. We let that sit for a good couple of minutes to really let the hair marinate in all the nourishing and revitalizing properties of the goo. </p><div><br/></div><p>After that, the last step is the Frozen Iron Sealing. Instead of using the traditional hot iron, KOOP uses the opposite and uses a frozen iron and the Le Couleur Steam machine that was acquired directly from Japan. The tool is used to seal the hair products into the hair for longer lasting effects, locking in moisture and leaving hair with a silky smooth finish.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img loading="lazy" src="https://assets-metrostyle.abs-cbn.com/prod/metrostyle/attachments/69948bb7-552c-4c16-b31e-27a3655b90e6_koop_lecouleur.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt=""/></span></span></div><div><strong>Results and Aftercare</strong></div><p>After the treatment, the staff at KOOP advised me not to wash my hair for 24 hours to really seal the effects of the treatment that can last up to 1-2 months before you have to come in and do the treatment again. Honestly, they didn’t have to ask me twice. If I could keep the blow out that they did after the treatment forever, I would. For a girl who has gotten her hair bleached more times than she can count, I was pleasantly surprised (and relieved) that some hair treatments can still have an effect on my hair, an effect that was actually noticeable days after I got the treatment. So to anyone out there who wants to start the year with a clean slate, start with repairing your hair! Because much like the promise and potential of the start of a new year, with hair, it’s never too late to start doing better, especially when there are innovative treatments as good as this one.
