Beauty junkies, rejoice! It's that time of the year when we at METRO celebrate all things beauty and bring you some of the best we've ever tried. The 2021 Metro Beauty Awards aims to highlight the power of beauty to help bring a much-needed boost despite trying times.
Truly, there's nothing like spending a little more time on your skincare routine in the morning and at night, or finally receiving that much-awaited new fragrance in the mail after ordering online, or swiping on a bold shade of red lipstick to brighten up one's day. These seemingly little acts of self-care, when added up, make up for a lot. Our crowning glory, a.k.a. our hair, has needed much more attention than we've imagined over the course of the quarantine. Because of the lack of salon visits coupled with stress, we've tried a lot of DIY hair care at home—from cutting our own hair, dyeing our own tresses, to treating it as well. It hasn't been easy, and we do miss our me-time at the salon, but these winning products really helped us a great deal in treating our tresses with much-needed TLC. We were pleasantly surprised with this product because it feels really nice on the scalp—like a massage. Hair also feels more manageable and tamer somehow. We also appreciate the compact design for on-the-go styling—fits right in any handbag. It has active-flex dual movement blade bristles flexing in opposing directions which loosens knots. For wavy and fine hair it felt like this did help smoothen and keep hair in place.

Jennyhouse Hair Color
Gives a vivid color and can go shades lighter without bleaching. We tried out the Ash Brown shade and it neutralized roots and blended well with the rest of our hair.
