In my quest to make my hair healthier than ever before (a.k.a. repairing all the damage my hair has taken after being subjected to years of coloring and bleaching!), I am always on the lookout for the most effective hair treatments available out there. Case in point: the first thing that they do when you sit in their chair is do a hair check up where they “diagnose” your hair with a special scanner so they can easily suggest what work needs to be done or if your hair can take the color or hair service that you want. So it’s no surprise that they have a unique service to help with hair repair.

Now, red light technology isn’t a new thing in the beauty space. It’s what they use in those LED face masks that you see everywhere. But as you’re about to find out in this article, it’s not just for your face, you can use it on your hair too. Red light therapy mainly encourages hair growth and an overall healthier scalp.

The treatment is fairly easy and doesn’t take too much of your time. They first do the hair diagnosis then they proceed to do a deep cleansing routine with a scalp massage for better blood circulation. After that, they do a quick wash and application of treatment, then onto the red light! A special hair device is put on your head so it can directly target your scalp and hair. They put a timer on the device so it will automatically stop once it’s done its job. It’ll take about half an hour then, voila! You’re done.

My scalp felt so fresh after and the treatment they put in combination with it, breathed new life to my blonde hair. It was definitely the refresh I needed. The result is almost immediate but with any kind of treatment, consistency is still key. So, think of this as like your once a month maintenance for your hair, just as facials are your monthly maintenance for your face.
