Step 1. Exfoliate and moisturize your lips.

Always start with a clean canvas—soft lips are essential to achieving that perfect pout! Before putting on your lippie, use an exfoliator and put on some lip balm.

Step 2. Dab on powder!

In order to intensify your lip color, grab a brush and put powder on your lips in feather-like strokes—yes, a compact powder works! Doing this will even out the color on your lips.

Step 3. Start from the middle.

According to Byron, putting on dark lipstick is very challenging because the margin of error is very slim—there’s no room for mistakes! Because of this, it’s best to start from the middle. With a lip applicator, fill your lips from the outside going out.

Step 4. Lastly, outline your lips!

Top off your look by outlining your pout. Make sure you put on color from end to end. For best results, wear with confidence.
