Makeup Takes Center Stage at BYS Fashion Week 2023

To say that BYS Fashion Week was a feast for the senses is an understatement. Four days, nine designers, and six venues made for a breakthrough in the Philippine fashion scene. Filipino talent was once again celebrated via multi-faceted collections lauded by countless fashion fans in the local scene. Never-before-seen collections from the likes of HAMU, Antonina, Rafa Worldwide, Randolf Clothing, Neric Beltran, Chris Nick, Vin Orias, Cheetah Rivera, and Vania Romoff satisfied our appetites for style. 

The collections were truly breathtaking, further brought to life by the stunning beauty statements that were sent down the runway. BYS Cosmetics and its wide array of product offerings were able to allow the creatives to come up with their own visions for the collections. In charge of this year's beauty direction for the shows was Gery Penaso, a professional makeup artist who has years of experience in celebrity and show makeup. We caught up with him before the shows to ask about what to expect from this year's runway makeup looks. He shared that while the designers had free rein on the looks they wanted for their collections, ultimately it's the BYS products that helped bring these amazing looks to life.
