America’s newest pop sensation, Chappell Roan, is making waves by topping the music charts while bringing maximalism back in the game. Her aesthetic looks? They are always 10s across the board—leaving jaws on the floor on the internet and in real life!
The 'Midwest Princess’s' avant-garde fashion and beauty, whether in interviews, concerts, or album covers, showcases a contemporary extravagance look—she’s going the extra-mile every single time! Chappell frequently wears bold, dramatic makeup, including her signature blue glittery eyeshadow, colored thin brows with long-winged liner, and white face paint. She’s also a part of LGBTQIA+, using her platform to deliver messages during her performances, and firmly stands for liberty, rights, and justice.
Chappell and her stylist, Genesis Webb, draw inspiration from drag, horror, burlesque, and theatre, focusing on altering dimensions to hyper-feminize her features and enhance her on-stage presence. Chappell also shared her love for looking both pretty and scary at the same time, which is why fans find meaning in her looks. Although Chappell is not concerned with the fan theories, she still finds them interesting. Wearing unfamiliar makeup only means something for her, and that is looking sexy—we couldn’t agree more!
Her iconic line at Coachella, “I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist”, was inspired by RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15 winner, Sasha Colby’s “I’m your favorite Drag Queen’s Favorite Drag Queen.” Sasha, known in L.A. before joining the competition and as the drag mother of Kerri Colby, is a favorite among drag superstars. Similarly, Chappell Roan, with her songs dominating the radio, being covered by popular artists, and having an endearing personality makes her a favorite of all.
Aside from people loving her music, it’s also her aesthetics that draw us in. We are always anticipating her stunning looks every time she takes the mic and hits the stage. Barbie Swan Lake
This look proved her artistry in the music industry! She floated over the stage of ‘Tonight with Jimmy Fallon’, and sang her hit song ‘Goodluck Babe!’ in the most eye-catching look of a swan. Her eye makeup is all we could live for! Her lashes have growing feathers like the swan, and her lenses? It’s dual iris, perfectly complementing pink under-eye makeup and magenta lipstick, accentuated by her signature white face paint.

Statue of Liberty
“Justice and Liberty for all,” Chappell said, when she dressed as Lady Liberty herself! This was one of her top looks. Serving Drag influence to everyone at the Governor’s Music Festival, becoming a living beauty icon. This time, Chappell departed from her signature white face paint by covering herself in verdant green body paint resembling the aged patina of the statue. Complementing her body paint were her metallic eye makeup, spiked liner covered in tiny gems, chromatic green lipstick, and a striking liberty crown creating an overall stone-finish look of Liberty!

Midwest Princess
This look is what made Chappell recognized in the music industry, and it also defined her signature look. This is her album cover for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which was named after her grandpa. It features a burlesque glam theme reminiscent of an 80s prom. The makeup included vibrant blue glittery eyeshadow, voluminous false lashes, orangey blush, red lipstick, and white face paint. The aesthetic is one fans love every time she’s performing on the stage!
Butterfly Beauty
In week two of Coachella 2024 she metamorphosed, and became a human butterfly! TV show Euphoria's makeup artist Donni Davy created magic on the stage by making Chappell’s dream come to life. This eye-catching look is also 10s across the board, having a vibrant pink look, accentuated with pink eyeshadow, and jewelry at the tip of her liner, thin line eyebrows, while wearing butterfly wings. It created more than just a performance in the music festival, it was a real SHOW!
Little Piggy
Imagine going to a the Grammys with a touch of spookiness? She’s too iconic for doing that! This is one of her most well-known looks, as this one immediately appears whenever you play her hit song ‘Goodluck Babe!’ Chappell’s bewitching new look delivers everything we could ask for. Starting with a clean, out-of-drag appearance, her makeup now enhances her natural features. The standout detail? Her piggy nose, which looks cute and squishy, and reminds us of the iconic 1995 heartwarming movie ‘Babe’.
Chappell’s success in both music and beauty has placed her on the global beauty map. In just a few months, her Spotify listeners surged from 2 million to 21 million monthly, driving everyone crazy with her music.
