How To Get Liza Soberano's ABS-CBN Ball Look, According To Her Makeup Artist Mickey See
When it comes to show-stopping beauty, you can always count on the ever gorgeous Liza Soberano. Each year, this sweetheart never ceases to amaze us with a plethora of looks that please our beauty-obsessed eye. Last Saturday was no different.
Liza once again emerged on the ABS-CBN Ball red carpet looking like a beauty goddess we all can only dream of becoming. But don't fret as we talked to her go-to makeup artist Mickey See for all the tips we need to help us achieve even just a bit of Liza's look at the ball!
How can anyone look this perfect? That perfectly tousled 'do, the vampy red lips, the glowing skin—it's simply the complete package! Now you know why we won't dare miss out on the tips that are to follow....
First off, Mickey revealed that for the skin, he used a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation. “Your look should always be camera ready, red carpet kasi siya. Thousands of people will be watching you so dapat ‘yung makeup look mo is like your natural skin lang din, may natural glow.”
For the eyes, Mickey opted for a safe shade, and used the staple neutral color brown, but emphasized on the eyelashes to get an extra dramatic look. Meanwhile, to create Liza’s all-important vampy lips, he combined different shades of red. “We did a mix and match so we can create a new color. Nag-mix kami ng classic red at blood red lipstick.”
In the end, Mickey revealed that it has always been a collaboration between him and Liza in terms of choosing her makeup looks. “Ako lang talaga yung tutulong. ‘Yun yung maganda sa kanya, nag-grow na din talaga ‘yung sense of style niya, siya na yung nagde-decide. Kaming mga makeup artist, hairstylist, nandito lang kami to collaborate, siya pa rin yung nagde-decide talaga.”
And that is simply proof that looking your best isn't just about piling makeup on—it's about knowing what works for you and constantly learning how you can develop your best features! Thank you Mickey, and Liza for the beauty lesson!
