8 Eye Makeup Trends To Look Forward To This Spring/Summer 2021
MAC Cosmetics gives its fearless forecast of makeup trends for beauty addicts out there
Just a few weeks ago, we spoke to some of the top experts in the local industry about their fearless forecasts for the world of beauty for 2021 and their answers were no less than exciting! As we continue to live through a pandemic, some things may seem like they aren't changing, but before we know it, we're halfway through the new year—might as well live it the right way don't you think? And by right, we mean have fun while we're at it! And what better way to do that than with makeup? Beauty gals, can I hear an amen?
As the Spring/Summer 2021 season approaches, MAC shares their own forecast for the season to come. "S/S 2021 makeup combines art and expression, it enhances, it uplifts"—they sum it up in this way, where natural makeup meets glam of the '60s and '70s, meets a DIY vibe. But all in all, we're still drawn to the trends that focus on the eyes.
With mask-wearing a new norm, “the eyes are where people feel they can bring their humanity and personality back with makeup,” says MAC Senior Artist Fatima Thomas. “You can say so much with your eyes non-verbally.” John Stapleton, MAC Senior Artist agrees: “We are more than ever attuned to social cues that are not from words but from eye expressions.”
