The Insider Story About Mimiyuuuh’s Emily in Paris Red Carpet Beauty Look
Makeup Artist Thazzia Falek lets us in on all the details of this makeup moment in Rome!
Last September, Mimiyuuuh made another important stride towards making a name for herself in the international scene with an appearance at the red carpet of the premiere of Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 in Rome, Italy. Mimiyuuuh was flown in by Netflix together with her trusted glam team: makeup artist Thazzia Falek and hairstylist, Dale Mallari.
Thazzia, who is also a makeup artist to celebrities like actress Bianca Umali and photographer BJ Pascual, gave Metro an exclusive look at Mimiyuuuh’s glam for the red carpet. She shares that the beauty look that they did for this very important milestone for Mimi’s career was a collaborative effort: “Since we’ve been working together for more than a year, we already know what we need for her. Pinag-usapan namin talaga siya [with Dalle and Lyn] as a team. It all has to be well coordinated so the look is fluid, ‘di siya nag aaway-away.”
As for crafting the actual look, they opted for something different but elevated to match Mimiyuuuh’s romantic pink and black Mark Bumgarner frock, styled by Nadine Lustre's go-to, Lyn Alumno. She shares, “We’ve never done this before but the inspiration is very foxy, siren eyes that will match her dress. We want it to be super snatched para mag stand out ‘yung eyes niya.”
Moreover, Mimi shared that this was her first European event and she was grateful to work alongside her beauty collaborators for this momentous event. “We came up with this look talaga because we wanted to make sure na mag sha-shine lahat ng aspect for this red carpet and I’m so grateful to work with amazing artists such as these two because they showcase the beauty of their client.” The beauty look was finished with Mimi’s iconic and very recognizable sleek, straight bob.
Before the red carpet, Mimi attended a welcome dinner together with the cast of Emily in Paris the night before. The internet superstar also wore a sultry makeup look but with a softer wing to match her pink Martin Bautista number for the event.
