After the success of celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan's brand new makeup line launch last week, we spoke to the makeup artist of-the-moment and asked him our burning questions about how to up our beauty game this season. His makeup line Téviant, is after all filled to the brim with products and tools that allow us to glam up our every day!

A lot of celebrities choose to have their faces made up by Albert—with the likes of Heart Evangelista, Alex Gonzaga, Kim Chiu, and beauty queen Megan Young employing his services to make sure they look their best! We can't blame them though, as Albert most certainly has the ability to transform a face from its plainest, barest state, to its most glamorized version!
For the holiday season, Albert shared some of his top tips and trend forecasts to help us look our best at all the Christmas and New Year's Eve parties. Read on and get informed!

Looking to splurge on a couple of beauty products this season? Make sure it involves his Téviant eyeshadow palette, as Albert believes "this season is all about bold eyes!" If you're not really up to the challenge of learning how to do your eyeshadow yet, Albert says ,"for those of you who aren't daring enough to do bold eye makeup or don't know on how to do it, maybe at least try a black pen liner to frame your eyes and put on some false lashes to make the eyes pop!" Dewy skin has been the trend du jour this past year, but Albert wants to shake things up this season as he tells us to "use La Mer's loose powder to keep the skin look less oily, but I also want to make it more about the eyes this season, and less on the skin. Go matte this time instead of dewy!"

It's so easy to neglect our looks amidst the hectic holidays, but deep inside, we actually want to keep a glowing face despite the lack of sleep and over indulgence on food and alcohol. We ask Albert for his best-kept tips for how to maintain a glowing face, and he simply said, "getting a fresh glow this season should be about going semi-matte instead of going dewy all over the face. We are in a humid country, loose powder is the key to keeping your makeup on longer especially if you will be hopping from one party to another! The secret is to not be stingy on loose powder!"

While we know that Albert is the expert to go to for transforming chinky eyes into big and bolder versions, he wishes to extend this trend to women who have varying eye shapes. "Starting this season, I am already doing bold eye makeup, focusing on this area of the face way more than others. Bold eyes mean colored eyeshadow, paired with a matte velvety finish for the skin, or semi-dewy at least."
