<p>Another magical evening just happened, and it all went down at the <strong>2024 Star Magical Prom</strong> held at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang. Pretty young things and dashing young men walked the ivory red carpet and partied the night away, celebrating new co-talents, projects, beauty, and style!</p><div><br/></div><p>We at METRO caught up with all the action, eyeing every little detail these bright young stars put effort into for the special event. Among a sea of beauties, some emerged eye-catching and truly worth a second look; see them on this <a href="https://metro.style/beauty/makeup/star-magical-prom-2024-best-beauty-looks/37708" target="_blank">list</a>. These stars made us wonder—what went through the minds of their creative teams to be able to come up with such beautiful statements on the ivory carpet. Good thing we were able to catch up with <strong>Jake Galvez</strong>, the go-to makeup artist for <strong>Belle Mariano</strong> and <strong>Alexa Ilacad</strong>, and we were able to ask him about their collaboration for this whimsical night. So, basically her pointers were skin, natural looking, and just &#x27;barely there&#x27; makeup. She already decided what she is going to look like, because previously during the last Star Magical Prom, she was wearing really smoky eyes, really golden glittery eyes. When she told us about her concept, which actually, really is her concept, I was really excited and she submitted a few pegs and inspirations which were of course inspired by mermaid looks. Like for example this is a red carpet event, they must have really long-lasting products. So for both of them, for Belle and Alexa, I used the Superstay Foundation, which is appropriate because they will be doing the red carpet and they will be spending the entire time in the ballroom so it should stay the entire night. For their lips I’m using the Vinyl Ink Lip Color, which is my favorite, I use it all the time for both of them, and that should last the entire night even if they eat! </p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>MS: What do you like most about creating themed makeup looks?</strong></div><p><strong>JG: </strong>I love it, I super super love it! Of course, on a daily basis we usually just do the slight, natural makeup, but with red carpet, and especially with this theme which is fantasy, almost whimsical, it’s so much fun because we can create a lot of colors, a lot of looks, but of course there’s still this sort of restraint because we want to make it look elegant. It should look perfect for the red carpet.</p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>MS: If you could recommend one recommend one product to use as part of their retouch kit, what would it be?</strong></div><p><strong>JG: </strong>I think it’s very basic. Either a lipstick or a lip gloss. That’s the basic thing that you should bring for a cosmetic.
