Since you won’t have the chance to sample every foundation under the sun, here we share a new discovery: A new makeup foundation from Swiss luxury skincare brand La Prairie called Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation. This product is said to be the first compact foundation that contains Caviar Water as its main ingredient. Sounds fancy, right?

Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation has Cellular Complex—a proprietary mix of ingredients which aim to improve skin’s elasticity and tone. In addition to that, it also has PA+++, which blocks damaging UVA rays and SPF 25 so, when it’s time to reapply, you can top up on the protection.

For this product launch, La Prairie collaborates with three leading makeup artists from three world regions—North America, Europe and Asia—to act as La Prairie Complexion Artist Ambassadors. Artists Mai Quynh, Georgina Graham, and Alvin Goh worked closely with La Prairie to develop application techniques to Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation and give masterclasses on Complexion Artistry. They also communicated on the importance of skincare and develop bespoke makeup application rituals that begin with perfect skin and end with the perfect complexion.

The compact comes in 11 refillable shades, and the packaging itself is sealed to protect the foundation so that it never dries out.
