Several awe-inspiring makeup trends emerged that night. In fact, the word “boring” simply does not apply—dramatic, over the top, and downright out-there have all proven to be better adjectives to describe the beauty looks of the brightest Kapamilya stars. Here, we’ll break it down for you, with a closer look at the best hair and makeup trends of the evening. Scroll downt to see more:

Hair accessories

A handful of stars opted for luxe, statement-making hair accessories to top off their stunning looks at the ABS-CBN Ball 2018. For example, Anne Curtis sported an elegant half-ponytail style adorned with a Celetial Coronet headpiece by Jennifer Behr while pretty teen star Maymay Entrata kept her hair up with sparkly star clips.

Bangs

Getting a fringe is an instant style statement. It’s like a way to accessorize but with hair. And at the ball, Liza Soberano, Jodi Sta. A classic crimson pout will always have its place on the red carpet, but this year, stars like Liza Soberano, Sue Ramirez, and Yassi Pressman remixed the traditional effect by taking it a few shades deeper. But it wasn’t just one shade—celebrities opted for a variety of hues, to perfectly complement their skin tones and outfits.

Sleek Ponytails

A far cry from the typical formal event updo, celebs like Kathryn Bernardo, Kim Chiu and Isabelle Daza rocked the red carpet with their modern sleek hair. Make like Kathryn and wear your ultra-elegant super-sleek low ponytail with barely there makeup.
