ICYMI, American top model Gigi Hadid recently launched a makeup collection with Maybelline—and it's finally made its way to the Philippines!

The limited edition "coast to cast" collection is a mix of all the products Gigi deems essential, based on her exciting jetsetter lifestyle. It includes two distinct looks—West Coast Glam and East Coast Glam—which represent her hometown in Los Angeles and her home base in New York City. The 22-year-old also launched the Jetsetter Palette—a glamorous easy-to-carry beauty essential inspired by her frequent flying needs.

"The most exciting part about making this collection was creating something I wasn't able to find before—a kit that had all my favorite colors and everything I needed, all in one place," said the top model slash makeup mogul.

Metro.Style: What is the story behind this collaboration?

Maybelline: It has been years since we wanted to partner with Gigi Hadid. This collection is very special because Gigi was really involved in creating this—from the formula, to the shades, and even to packaging. Everything's really personal for her, and even the names in the collection were inspired by the places and people that hold a special place in her heart. For example, the lipstick shade 'Erin' was named after her makeup artist, and 'Khair' was actually named after her sister Bella Hadid's second name.

M.S: Why is Gigi Hadid the perfect Maybelline muse?

M: Gigi truly embodies what a Maybelline girl is. She’s full of energy and she's dynamic. She is someone women aspire to be, but at the same time, she is also very relatable to people.

M.S: What is the difference between East Coast Glam and West Coast Glam?

M: West Coast Glam is inspired by Gigi's hometown in Los Angeles; it's perfect for a laidback and relaxed look. On the other hand, the East Coast Glam is inspired by her home base, New York—which is very bold and energetic.

M.S: What are your favorite lipsticks from this collection?

M: From the West Coast collection, I like 'Austyn' because it's the perfect red lipstick that I want. From the East Coast collection, my favorite would be 'Erin', because my skin is fair, so that shade is neither too pale nor too dark for me. It's the perfect nude lipstick.

 

M.S: What's the most exciting part about the jetsetter palette?

M: It’s the first time for Maybelline to have a palette complete with eye shadow, lipstick, concealer, blush, bronzer, and even mascara. It is also very limited. There are only 300 pieces in the country, and we will not be replenishing the stocks, either.
