Treat Yourself To A Celeb-Worthy Facial This Valentine’s Day

They first start off with a cleansing facial to get a clean slate and make sure your face is squeaky clean before any procedure is done. They put on a minty facial mask and do the steaming to loosen your pores, ready for extraction. It takes about 30 minutes for all the prep work and they finish with a diamond peel to remove any dead skin cells and reveal glowier skin.

Now for the main event. We transfer rooms where the doctor met up with us and she explained what the benefits of the new Aivee Astralight to us. She explained that, “the broadband light usage that the Aivee Astralight has provides a delicate but active brightening effect on the face, targeting various skin conditions. It addresses acne as it effectively reduces the swelling and redness of the skin. It lightens age spots, melasma, rosacea, freckles and warts.” 

They start the procedure by making sure you have protective eyewear throughout because the light it emits can be too flashy for the eyes. After that, the doctor carefully sections the blast of light throughout every corner and crevice of your face, she taps on your skin with the handle and you will feel the slightest tinge and heat. But it’s easily tolerable, don’t worry! They didn’t even need to put any numbing cream as compared to IPL treatments before when that was a must. We were done after 10 minutes. 

Bonus: if you have dry eyes syndrome, a condition where tears can’t provide enough lubrication that can cause inflammation around the eyes, the light from the treatment raises the temperature of the affected eye glands.

I got up from my utterly pampered state of self and checked myself in the mirror. You can immediately tell that the skin is so much brighter and refreshed after just one session! In truth, I’ve always been curious if a clinic like Aivee that celebs go to are just pure hype, but I can vouch that Aivee really knows their stuff!
