Earlier this month, Kylie announced the upcoming launch of KylieSkin via bare-faced Instagram post, teasing the "cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, paraben-free, sulfate-free and dermatologist tested" collection, complete with its millennial pink packaging promising clear skin and dewy results. The following day, Kylie unveiled the very first product in the lineup, which is also likely your very first step in any skincare regimen: a foaming face wash.
Never one to leave us in the dark for too long, after a few days, Kylie revealed the rest of the KylieSkin family, which can now be purchased at KylieSkin.com. With a foaming facial wash, vanilla milk toner, walnut face scrub, vitamin C serum, face moisturizer, and eye cream all included, the collection seems to cover all of the essentials. Although the scrub caused quite a controversy—with the issue on the ingredient walnut, an abrasive natural exfoliant which could potentially do more harm than good. But Kylie insists the scrub is gentle enough to use multiple times a week.
“Skincare and makeup go hand in hand and Kylie Skin was something I dreamt up soon after Kylie Cosmetics. I’ve been working on this for what feels like a lifetime so I can’t believe I’m finally announcing!” she said on Instagram.
“Building my makeup line from the ground-up has taught me a lot and I’m so blessed with that knowledge to apply to my brand new company! Birthing a whole new team, manufacturing, fulfillment etc. separate from my cosmetics line was challenging but here we are! I got the best of the best for you guys!”
