Sarah Lahbati Teaches Us How To Achieve The Glass Skin Look In 3 Easy Steps
Unless you’ve been living under the rock for the past year or so, you’ll know that Korean skincare is still having its golden age as of the moment. First, there was chok chok, which translates to “moist” or “damp.” Then kkul-gwang, a moniker for a hyper-glossy finish on the face. And how can we forget sheet masks, which make our skin so healthy and plumped with hydration in as little as ten minutes. This year though, it’s the "glass skin" trend which is the fancier name for clear, luminous, seemingly transparent skin that’s had us super fascinated.
And one person’s skincare routine for achieving this trend that people are dying to know is Sarah Lahbati’s, one of show business' prettiest faces today. So, if you want to take a closer look at her real skincare routine, check out our one-on-one session with her below, as we recently spoke with the clear-skinned actress during Cetaphil’s event in SM Makati. Trust us when we say her routine does not disappoint!
What’s your step-by-step skincare routine and in what order do you apply them?
I think the 12 or 15 steps (skincare routine) sounds a bit crazy to me. I have two kids, I’m a working mom, I have a partner. So it’s really just a three step routine for me: cleansing in the morning and in the night, moisturizing and then protecting my skin.
What’s the most important part of a skincare routine?
On variety shows, the makeup is really intense. On TV, it looks parang sakto na siya pero when you look at it in person, it’s like a lot of makeup on. So when I get home, I really cleanse, I love what Cetaphil does to me. It cleanse my skin, it’s not that harsh.
What’s the best skincare advice that you can give for moms?
You don’t have to complicate your life with putting too many things, just take it to something simple. Cleansing, moisturizing and putting on sunblock will do more good for your skin. It’s investment for me, when you’re 40 or 50, your skin will still look beautiful.
What are your tips for getting the glass skin look?
Basically glass skin is all about that glow, all about that highlight, natural beauty look. For me in order to get that you need to take care of your skin properly.
