The Duchess Of York Shares The Cosmetic Procedures She’s Had Over The Years

She let us in on her secrets to looking young!

The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson just turned 60 today, yet her youthful complexion defies her years. We're sure you're dying to know her ultimate beauty secrets to maintaining her appearance, and finally, here it is!

In an interview with The Daily Mail, the Duchess first opened up on how she appeared so glowing and youthful at her daughter, Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank last year, “The happiness was shining out of me because my daughter was getting married. I was so gad. I love Jack. When I’m passionate about anything, my eyes shine.”

Adding, “Above all, it was being joyful for Eugenie that made me look good. But I’d had some laser treatment on my face which helped, too."

The Duchess has previously gone under the needle for Botox in the past few years. But now, she admitted that opts for pain-free, non-invasive laser treatments, which can be done in just 90 minutes. “It’s like garden trellising for sweat peas. You insert the threads under the skin with a fine needle and they hold everything up,” she said, of the thread lift treatment she had with Dr. Gabriela Mercik.

In addition to laser facelifts, which are said to promote the skin’s natural production of collagen, Sarah also revealed she’s had Mesotherapy—an injection of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, organic fillers, as well as a thread lift.

While Sarah admits she was worried the procedure would be painful, she says it actually wasn’t bad and says her skin responded well. “I think if you look at photos of me after I had it done, I look much better.”

The Duchess also admits her fair skin was exposed to too much sun when she was young and says after losing both her father and best friend Carolyn Cotterell to melanoma, it made her realize you have to look after your skin as much as your other organs. “It isn’t just about aesthetics. We have to think about our skin health,” she said.
