Phantom of the Opera’s Original Christine, Sarah Brightman, Is Coming To Manila

She has embarked on a world tour to promote her most recent album, 'Hymn,' released in 2018

For the first time in fifteen years, bestselling soprano Sarah Brightman—known best for originating the role of Christine Daaé in Phantom of the Opera—is coming to Manila on June 10, 2020.

In 2018 and 2019, she toured five continents to promote the release of her most recent album, HYMN. This year, she will be bringing her three-octave range and singing prowess to the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“I’m so excited to share this album with everyone,” Brightman had said. “HYMN is excitingly eclectic, encompassing many different styles, and I’m looking forward to performing the new songs on my world tour. Every project I’ve done has come from an emotional place, and I wanted to make something that sounded very beautiful and uplifting. To me, ‘hymn,’ suggests joy—a feeling of hope and light, something that is familiar and secure, and I hope that sentiment resonates through the music.”

Brightman’s duet with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, “Time To Say Goodbye,” became an international success selling 12 million copies worldwide. Her albums Eden, La Luna, Harem, and Symphony were each chart-topping Billboard hits and accompanied by world tours.

Tickets for her show go on sale this Saturday, February 1 at 10 a.m. Purchase yours at Ticketnet Online or from Ticketnet outlets nationwide.
