Triple Delight: New Add-Ons to Your Library

It’s refreshing to have add-ons to our libraries every once in a while. These add-ons are filtered to reflect one’s interests and preferred genres. But why not try something new? Here are some of Fullybooked’s recent bestsellers, and a little sneak peek.

 “Wonder” by RJ Palacio

Acts of kindness aren’t that hard to share, right? RJ Palacio takes us to greater value the people around us through the friendships or simple connections we establish with them. A good and easy read, “Wonder” helps us rethink our connections and how we “connect” with them through simple acts of kindness.

'Wonder' revolves around stories of empathy and compassion. The story starts with August Pullman who was born “different”. August struggles to get along with people because of his physical difference, which makes him avoid mainstream schooling. Palacio refers to her debut novel as “a mediation on kindness”. This book is also #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list.

“Smoke and Mirrors” by Michael Faudet

Love takes us to a lot of places. Imagine what people can do for it- platonic or otherwise. Michael Faudet shares the highs and lows of being in love through poetry, short stories, and prose. 'Smoke and Mirrors' tackles one’s experiences in the highest of the highs when we are in love.  On the other side is the melancholic, isolated feeling we get when we are heartbroken. Stories of being in love and heartbroken are relatable as Faudet employs a mushy yet fantastic style in his  choice of words.

“The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life” by Mark Manson

Mark Manson challenges us to realize that not being positive all the time is the key to become better people through an influential blogger. “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck”, a New York Times Bestseller, shows us harsh, ugly, and honest realities. Having too much f*cks to give to a lot of people and things makes us stressed out most of the time-- which leads us to knowing who really matters in our lives. Manson treats us with his straightforward yet entertaining writing and helps us be grounded.
