A Night of Love (An Evening of Opera Love Songs and Duets)

What to look forward to: Filipino tenor Arthur Espiritu returns to his homeland for a pre-Valentine concert, featuring opera arias and duets about love. Performing with him are three of the country’s top classical music artists—sopranos Stefanie Quintin and Mheco Manlangit, and pianist Najib Ismail. Included in their repertoire are music from Puccini’s “La Boheme,” Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette,” Meyerbeer’s “Les Huguenot,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” Stravinsky’s “The Rake’s Progress,” to name a few.

Love Rocks with Peabo Bryson

What to look forward to: Grammy Award winner Peabo Bryson returns to Manila for a one-night only concert. International recording artist J Michaels also returns to NPAT as co-headliner and host of the Love Rocks! concert series. Former Miss Saigon Jenine Desiderio will complete the lineup as special guest artist, all backed by the J Michaels Band, under the direction of Maestro Danny Favis. The theme for the evening will also include a tribute to the music of Burt Bacharach, with each artist performing their favorite Bacharach tunes.

The inspirational balladeer will perform with the Ateneo Chamber Singers. This fund-raising event is presented by The Maryknoll/Miriam College Alumni Association (MMCAA), for the benefit of Project MMARIA, the MMCAA’s Quick Response to Calamities mobilization initiative.
