A Century Tuna Rockaoke Arya Night!

Rock arias may now be a dime a dozen, but when Century Tuna organised a special fun activity for their Superbods and Ageless candidates, it was Rockaoke-themed and held at one of the hottest late night spots at the BGC, the Arya Residences’ Plaza. In a fashion, it was aria meets Arya in a fun, musical manner.

Now that we’re coming to the homestretch of this year’s Century Tuna Search, it was interesting to note the friendships, alliances, and camaraderie that has developed among the contestants. Last weekend was the Zalora Fashion Show at Glorietta 2, a fun Underpants Run at Filinvest City Alabang early Sunday morning, and an Electric Party Sunday evening. And it all comes to head on the 12th of April at the Cove, Okada Manila when the Finals Night happens.

But back to the Talent Night held at the Arya Plaza. Some had an obvious advantage having sung professionally - this was the case with Ageless candidate Maricel Cruz, elder sister of Sunshine Cruz. But others were dark horse surprises, and had the judges scurrying to recall their names. An official Instagram contest was announced earlier in the evening, and that resulted in the candidates looking for ideal picture-worthy locations around the Arya Plaza.

Between the foliage and greenery, and the smart collection of eateries and late night spots that make up the Arya Plaza, there was much to explore and deem ‘picturesque’. Among the dining establishments, the one I’ve heard good things about would be Arroz Ecija, where a number of Filipino food and flavours are given the paella treatment. Arroz Ecija is from the team behind XO46 Heritage Bistro. If you’re looking for a Pork fix, their 72-Hour Bagnet is highly recommended. And if it’s French Mediterranean cuisine you have a hankering for, the Lemuria Restaurant & Wine Bar aspires to fit the bill.

What it definitely was, was a Fun Night for the candidates, the media guests and the management team of Century Tuna. On to the last weekend of activities, and the Finals Night next week.
