Anne Curtis Is An Online Shopaholic—And With This App, You Will Be One, Too!
Our favorite It-girl was hailed as Shopee’s first-ever brand ambassador. During her reveal last April 11 at the Grand Ballroom of the newly-opened Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, media guests and VIPs played a guessing game for hours as to who the mysterious endorser was. On their social media accounts, Shopee gave hints on the identity of their ambassador by releasing posts referencing K-drama obsession and Hollywood crushes, which are known interests of Anne.
Terence Pang, Chief Operating Officer, welcomed the guests inside the ballroom to give Anne the warmest Shopee welcome. As a way of showing how grateful she is for this opportunity, Anne performed her best version of Sia’s "Chandelier," much to the delight of the event attendees.
As a self-confessed shopaholic, the It’s Showtime’s host and resident songbird was all praises to the convenience of a mobile app that allows you to purchase anything you want, anywhere you are in the world. Anne also mentioned the live chat feature of Shopee where one can easily inquire about a certain product. For ladies who are serious about retail therapy and are always on-the-go, the one-click-away style of shopping through your phone is totally time-efficient!
Several fun games and prizes kept everyone occupied during the event. Shopee’s official brand partners were part of the spin-a-wheel game where members of the media got their hands on some amazing prizes that include a lipstick from Anne’s very own cosmetic line, BLK. Guests who wanted some challenge, on the other hand, lined up for the buzz wire game; those who reached the other end successfully were given gift certificates from Shopee.
The event ended with a countdown to the biggest Shopee super sale in the Philippines, which runs from April 11 to May 15, with up to 90% discount on selected items.
