Exclusive: Tim Yap’s 'Dystopia' Halloween Party
This generation’s king of nightlife mounts a follow-up of his Apocalype-themed party in 2019, and urges everyone to move forward
From Apocalypse to Dystopia, it seems as if this generation’s king of nightlife, Tim Yap, is painting a dismal future for the world with the theme of his big Halloween parties. Not necessarily so, he says, in a Metro.Style exclusive, where he shares that more than what dystopia means, which is an undesirable society, he recognizes the challenges that the pandemic has wrought, and encourages everyone to move forward.
“The inspiration for this year’s theme is “moving on,” explains Tim, “that no matter what live gives us, we should always continue moving forward.”
As the followup of his 2019 Halloween party entitled “Apocalypse,” “Dystopia hopes to continue what Apocalypse has started,” he shares about Frontrow Presents: Dystopia A Tim Yap Halloween.
“It was a gathering, an escape, a celebration, a reason to or for, “anything and everything all at once.”
Likewise, this would be the first big Halloween party in three years, at the tail-end of a pandemic that we are all hoping we have behind us.
“People haven’t had a proper Halloween event in two years,” he shares. “I felt the excitement and eagerness of people right after I sent the invites… I doing this, after all, for an entirely new generation, a new scene of creatives, movers and shakers—for them to connect with others,” he says of the cast.
“Through this party, I am hoping to bring generations together. I am hoping that they’ll enjoy and savor what we prepared—this is for them,” he says.
“Manila night life is majorly back. It revived itself through a new generation that wants to interact and engage. They are the new lifeblood of not just nightlife but also fashion, media, business, and other creative industries, he shares.
Guests expected in tonight’s revelry range from some of the usual suspects, to society figures like Bea Zobel Jr., and celebrities like Yassi Pressman.
Indeed, quite a lot have confirmed, including Tony Labrusca, Kylie Verzosa, Jane de Leon, Julia Barretto, Claudia Barretto, Max Collins, Michelle Dee, Alex Diaz, Precious Paula Nicole of Drag Race Philippines, Paulo Ballesteros, Ashley Ortega, Dalia Varde, Bria Poe, Ayeesha Cervantes, Ayn Bernos, Maureen Wroblewitz, Criza Taa, Angelina Cruz, Miss Globe Philippines Maureen Montagne, Derrick Monasterio, Shanaia Gomez, Bianca de Vera, Miguel Tan Felix, Isabel Ortega, LA Aguinaldo, Pam Prinster, Leon Barretto, Jeremiah Lisbo, the Sparkada group, and more!
