Festive February: Two Festivals You Don’t Want To Miss This Month
Who would have thought that apart from art fairs, exhibitions, performances, and National Arts Month, there are also a few festivals near Manila that you can visit?
First on the list is the 22nd Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Omni Aviation in Clark, Pampanga. It has been an annual tradition for some Filipino families to see the wonders of this festival, the enormous hot air balloons. The festival is "a weekend of everything that flies” as aerial exhibitions will also be held. There are passes of different kinds-you can even get pre-nuptial photoshoot passes. The organizers are reminding everyone to have fun responsibly by putting emphasis on waste management in the area.

Heading up to the breezy mountains of the Cordillera, the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio shows huge floats in full bloom. The festival is colorful and full of picturesque flowers, bedazzling costumes, awesome street performances, lively band competitions, and many more. People frequent this occasion and try to brave the chilly weather. A tip: leave your cars in your hotels, because traffic can be bad. This year, the festival will be on February 24-25.
In case you have attended both in the past years—remember, each experience is different!
