Metro Moms' Day Out: Here's How We Celebrated Mother's Day!

Families headed to Eastwood Mall last Sunday, May 12, to celebrate Mother's Day and give the most important women in their lives the special treatment they deserve on this occasion. Flower shops and restaurants were all busy, and everywhere you look in and around the mall, different images of mothers and children made the overall mood at the venue heartwarming and festive.

Making this day even more special for mall-goers was the Metro Moms' Day Out event organized by the Metro superbrand at the mall's atrium. Different generations of moms along with their kids joined the fun, thrilled to have celebrated Mother's Day in an extraordinary way.

Three areas were set up and designed for everyone to have beautiful photographs to remember the occasion by—one was the stunning floral arch that welcomed and ushered attendees into the venue, one near the atrium with a trellis filled with vibrant blooms, and another one right outside the mall which EventStyles Kathy Sy King dressed up with a grass backdrop, huge gilded frame, and cascading pink and white flowers. Guests who had their photos taken at the Metro Moms' Day Out Photo Area got the chance to win a Crimson Boracay gift certificate good for 2 adults and 2 kids for 3 days and 2 nights.

The event was not only an opportunity for mothers to relax and bond with their families, it also served as the culmination of Metro.Style's “My Mom Is My Everything" promo, where children were asked to submit artworks expressing their love and appreciation for their moms. All the entries to the promo's three categories (Category A for children ages 6-10 years old, Category B for those who are between 11-15 years old, and the special category) were exhibited at the atrium from May 10-12.

Snacks from Mr. Churros and Omay Goodies were up for grabs, while Potato Corner gave away gift certificates for the first 100 moms who registered. Kids got to have some fun, too, with the play area set up by Party Kids Station and the art activities prepared by Likhang Bata

This was followed by segments courtesy of Ever Bilena (where Ever Bilena Cosmetics and EB Advance brand manager Creole David did a makeup tutorial for on-the-go moms), as well as Shopback and Petron Gasul which both prepared fun games.

The show premiered last Sunday, with the pilot episode featuring mom of three Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez.
