A warm, sunny hello from Metro from the pristine sands of Boracay!
Metro Summer Soul, Metro's by-invitation, two-day summer event that treats VIP guests to one-of-a-kind experiences, returns to the country's top summer beach destination this year to shine the spotlight on the island's grand reopening and celebrate Metro's milestones and new beginnings this year.
Metro Channel's Beached and EIC on the Move are set to launch their second seasons, while Metro Magazine's sizzling Body Issue that's hotly anticipated year after year were just some of the achievements highlighted in the occasion.

Having experienced many of Manila's best events over the years, these guests were in for a whole new experience comparable to none when they arrived for Metro Summer Soul's first day of sunset socials: A very Filipino lunch at Indigo Restaurant, followed by time to refresh in their suites filled with beach and summer essentials from Schwarzkopf Professional, Beauty Bar, Lush, Clinique, Glad, Burt’s Bees, SIP PH, Hello Gorgeous, Lagu, Sining, Serena, Havaianas, Browhaus and Strip, Mandala Spa, Biore, Kool PH, Havaianas, Blanc and White, and The Medical City!
All of these sponsors and more certainly helped make the event Metro-standard, pampering guests like they've never been before.
Once ready for an evening of wining and dining, the Metro Summer Soul set headed over to sunset-hour cocktails followed by the lushly decorated welcome dinner put together by the talented Teddy Manuel and made better by Moet Chandon and The Write Impressions.

This was followed by hosts Marc Nelson and Rachel Peters who shared their experience working together in Beached; followed by Lala Ventura, Metro Channel head, who soon introduced the new season of EIC on the Move with host Raul Manzano.
The program ensued with a heartfelt speech by Discover Shores' Hotel Manager Joegil Escobar, a surprise birthday greeting for Shangri-La's Dave Junker, and of course, a grand toast to celebrate everything Metro.
In final show of appreciation of its guests, Metro Summer Soul also put together a lighthearted awarding ceremony for those who shone the brightest at the event. Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez was given the most LUSHious Skin of the Night award, Best Summer Hair by Schwarzkopf to Georgia Shulze-del Rosario; and the Summer Maven Award from The Medical City ultimately went to not one, but two guests—Rachel Peters and Phil Younghusband!
