WATCH: Designers, Stylists, Editors, and Celebrities Enjoyed A Stylish Cupcake Tower At The #Metrowear2018 Event
Last Thursday was all about celebrating the next generation of Philippine fashion as Metro Magazine presented its 15th Metrowear fashion show. Featuring Cebu-born designer Vania Romoff, the youngest Metrowear Icon yet, the evening showcased 60 covet-worthy pieces that truly embodied—and celebrated—the modern woman: strong, feminine, and unapologetic. “Dreams do come true. Even if it takes a decade,” quipped the woman-of-the-evening, who attended her first Metrowear show as a guest ten years ago.
To celebrate the promising future of local fashion, proudly Filipino bakery Goldilocks created a scrumptious cupcake tower for the evening’s guests to enjoy. The custom-made cakes were specially designed for this year’s Metrowear. Available in vanilla and chocolate variants, the dreamy desserts came in chic floral designs—a combination of Instagram-worthy sweet creations and classic buttercream frostings.
Served right before the fashion show started, the desserts table was such a huge hit among editors, designers, stylists, society personalities, and celebrities, who all walked the red carpet dressed to the nines. “The cake setup matched the aesthetic of the show,” quipped Metro Magazine Editor-In-Chief Geolette Esguerra. “It gave our guests a tangible experience of romance—a sweet one, at that.”

It was only fitting to have Goldilocks commemorate a huge milestone with Metro Magazine—through the years, Goldilocks has always been a staple dessert served in Filipino homes in times of celebration. Indeed, this year’s biggest fashion event in Manila was made even more memorable with Goldilocks.
