Watch Your Favorite Kapamilya Artists Perform For A Cause Live From Their Own Homes

Regine Velasquez, Liza Soberano, Lea Salonga, and more perform for the benefit of our frontliners and those stricken the hardest by COVID-19

We may be social distancing from each other but that doesn’t mean our favorite entertainers and artists won’t be able to bring joy and happiness to their fans—in this day and age, virtual concerts are more than possible, thanks to technology.

This Sunday, over 100 Kapamilya artists pledged their time and donations to perform live from the comfort of their own homes to benefit our frontliners and those stricken the hardest by the COVID-19 crisis.

Since 7 p.m. this evening, a handful of celebrities have been singing songs and checking in on audiences straight from their living rooms, including Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli, Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, and so much more.

This is part of the Pantawid ng Pag-Ibig initiative, a campaign that aims to help local government units provide basic essentials to families who have been unable to source livelihood since the start of the quarantine.

Martin Nievera sang “I’ll Be There” straight from his piano room, while Gary Valenciano sang “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos” from his kitchen. “Ganyan po talaga ang magkakapamilya, nagtutulungan hangang makakaya. Importante ang mental health sa ating lahat,” says Bea Alonzo, speaking live on Zoom.

Sarah and Matteo performed “You Are The Reason” in one of their first appearances together as a newly-married couple.

Since March 17, there have been families who have been unable to have a steady source of income because of the enhanced community quarantine that is being implemented all throughout Luzon. ABS-CBN started Pantawid ng Pag-Ibig to help those hit by this crisis as well as local government units and their constituents.

The Pantawid ng Pag-Ibig Concert is broadcast live on ABS-CBN, Metro Channel, ANC, Jeepney TV, and more, and is live-streamed on iWant as well as ABS-CBN’s Facebook and YouTube channel.
