Check Out These Cute Kids At The First PRURide PH Strider Cup

Just when you think fitness is just for adults, these adorable kids prove us that starting young when it comes to having a healthy lifestyle is an amazing and fun idea!

PRURide PH, the largest cycling festival in the Philippines, has indeed made its cycling event bigger and more fun this 2019 as they introduced the Philippine Strider Cup, a non-pedal bike race for kids!

“We have criterium races for all sorts of cyclists, but we also incorporated activities for the whole family because we want to make the event more inclusive. The Philippine Strider Cup featured these kids who raced using their non-pedal Strider bikes, and they are so cute! The kids were either competitive or just having fun. Their parents had a fun time chasing their kids, too, as the children raced,” said Allan Tumbaga, Pru Life UK Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Marketing Officer.

Fitness can indeed be introduced in a super fun way, just like the Strider Cup, which is an enjoyable physical activity that can make them sweat, play, and learn the dynamics of sports and exercise early in their lives.

Look at these kids as they prepped to compete for the Strider Cup!

With the no-pedal Strider bike, the kids were either standing while walking, seated while walking, running, or just having fun gliding! The kids were feeling their bikes tip sideways for them to learn more how to keep them upright. Talking about learning the power of physical balance at their tender age!

PRURide PH 2019 also offered other fun activities for kids like the inflatable playgrounds where they hopped and jumped as they bonded with other kids.

Teens got to enjoy the Virtual Ride booth where they pedaled on a stationary bike as they could see their competitors in the race on-screen in a huge TV screen in front of them. There were basketball hoop areas as well and arcade games in the Family Village booths.

For safety purposes, there were health check and medical assistance tents for everyone.

The two-leg event of PRURide PH first kicked-off in Filinvest City, Alabang last April 7, wherein celebrity health and fitness ambassadors Zoren Legaspi, Gretchen Ho, and Kim Atienza led the high-speed criterium races. The main event in Subic, Zambales on May 24-26 will see more than 2,000 cyclists to participate in the Stage Race, Masters Race, Gran Fondo 30/60/100, and the fun activities for the whole family.
