The Philippine Book Festival Goes to Davao!

Heads up, bookworms! If you missed the much-awaited book festival in Manila, now is your chance to attend its next stop!

<div><br/></div><p>Following its first stop in Manila for this year’s <strong><a href="https://www.philippinebookfest.com/" target="_blank">Philippine Book Festival (PBF)</a></strong>, the <strong><a href="https://books.gov.ph/" target="_blank">National Book Development Board (NBDB)</a></strong> is gearing up for another run of the much-awaited event this coming <strong>August 18 to 20, 2023</strong>. The festival will open from <strong>10 AM to 9 PM</strong> at <strong>SMX Davao</strong> in <strong>Davao City</strong>, with more exciting activities and surprises in store. </p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img loading="lazy" src="https://assets-metrostyle.abs-cbn.com/prod/metrostyle/attachments/8ac25a73-7522-49a3-a00f-185ec6114524_aral aklat.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="The Philippine Book Festival Goes to Davao!"/></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>“We had it in Manila and we had above 40,000 guests. It’s not really just a book fair; it’s really an experiential space,” <strong>NDBD Executive Director Charisse Aquino-Tugade</strong> shared in an exclusive interview with <strong>Metro.Style</strong>. </p><div><br/></div><p>“That’s our campaign right now. It’s for people to find this book festival because it is the largest convergence, especially in the South where you don’t get that type of convergence with authors who are flying in from around the world,” she added. </p><div><br/></div><p>Happening during Davao’s <strong>38th Kadayawan Festival</strong>, the free-entrance book fest welcomes everyone who wishes to participate in the fun-filled community.
