These Local Favorites Are Playing In This Year’s Fête de la Musique!

For 25 years, it’s an annual tradition for all music lovers to gather in different parts of not just the metro, but also the top cities in the country, for the celebrated Fête de la Musique. And this weekend, another level of music magic happens as the festival mounts its two main stages and 52 pocket stages. No matter which stage you find yourself in, both icons and up-and-comers will be performing on stage?—so be ready to be mesmerized with special songs played live or discover new acts that you’ll surely follow in the following weeks!

To excite you further, here are some local favorites who you shouldn’t miss seeing live on the Fête stage!

On June 21, join Ebe Dancel, Apartel, Ang Bandang Shirley, Dicta License, and Unique at the A-Venue Main Stage in Makati City. These homegrown acts will be joined by electronic music producer and multi-instrumentalist SAË, who flew all the way from Paris to join the Fete-stivities in Manila! 


Another must-see this Friday is the special #GlobeFete Production Number, led by Francis de Veyra as musical director and Daniel Darwin as creative director. The multi-genre medley of OPM classics will pay tribute to the 25 years of Fete de la Musique in the country as a platform that honors and highlights Filipino artistry. Catch Abra, Bituin Escalante, Bayang Barrios, Barbie Almalbis, Cooky Chua, Jensen Gomez, Joey Ayala, Kat Agarrado, Ron Henley, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, and many more in one stage for this one-of-a-kind showcase!

And of course, On June 22, Makati City will be alive with the simultaneous stages happening around. Each stage features a different genre, so whether you’re into rock or jazz, bedroom beats or blues and funk, there’s a stage perfect for your taste. 


For the Greenbelt Main Stage, meanwhile, the artists to watch out for are Dayaw, Pinkmen, CRWN x August Wahh, Todo Pasa, She’s Only Sixteen, The Ransom Collective, Project Yazz x Skarlet Brown, Hernandez Brothers x Quest, Ciudad, Autotelic, and Urbandub.
