Tune Into One Vision, One Cause, A Concert To Help Our COVID-19 Frontliners
Influencers and the music industry’s brightest artists join together to honor and raise funds for our frontliners
With the global COVID-19 pandemic affecting more and more people around the world every day, people are also finding and creating more ways to help those in need.
One brand that’s been silently working hard to support our local health workers is optical chain Vision Express Philippines. Following their initial donation of P250,000 worth of face shields to 20 hospitals in the metro, they’re now gearing up to raise more funds for donation with the help of some friends from the entertainment industry.
Starting with an initial donation of P100,000, Vision Express aims to raise P1.2 million through One Vision, One Cause—an online concert for our COVID-19 frontliners. It’s in partnership with in partnership with Pay it Forward PH, a local donation drive spearheaded by reel and real-life sweethearts Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos, and their friends, and #FrontlinersFund, a drive co-founded by stylist Ryuji Shiomitsu.
Together, Vision Express, Pay it Forward PH, and #FrontlinersFund will help build two extended quarantine facilities (EQF) for hospitals that no longer have space for COVID-19 patients, and distribute face shields, PPEs, and HEPA filters to over 20 health centers in the country, including the Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Heart Center, Veterans Memorial Medical Center, and the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH).
Happening tomorrow, April 17, the One Vision, One Cause Facebook live show will feature musical performances, exciting games, and catch-up sessions with special guests such as Kean Cipriano (who will also be hosting the event) and Chynna Cipriano, event partners Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, Reese Lansangan, Laureen Uy, Miggy Cruz, Issa Pressman, Marga on the Mic, Keiko Nakajima, SUD, and DJs Ace Ramos, Ron Poe, Kat DJ. Award-winning makeup artist Natasha Moor, who recently came out as COVID-positive, will also be joining the show to talk more about how she’s been dealing with her condition.
