Oh, To Be A Fly On These Walls—U2 Spotted In Various Manila Establishments

Band members Bono, The Edge, and the rest of the gang have been spotted in Margarita Forés’ Grace Park and the bar Agimat, along with Mario Batali

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in these establishments—that was firmly in our minds when we found out that U2 has been spotted in various locations in the Philippines. Their first stop seems to have been in Metro Channel host Margarita ForésGrace Park, a restaurant that specializes in farmhouse cooking in Rockwell, Makati.

Here, U2 frontman Bono and lead guitarist The Edge sang for Margarita, her son Amado and other guests during dinner.

“And he said, ‘Dance with me!’” shared Chef Margarita. “Thank you so much for giving us the chance to feed you for your first meal in Manila!”

Their second stop was Donosti Pintxos y Tapas, a wine bar in Bonifacio Global City that’s perfect if you’re in the mood for a Spanish food crawl around the metro. Chef Tippi Tambunting excitedly shared that she’d just served the band, who’s set to perform at the Philippine Arena this evening.

Then, Tuesday night, The Edge and Mario Batali were spotted in Agimat Foraging Bar. Owned by Kalel Demetrio and Chef Nino Laus, Agimat is located in the heart of Poblacion in Makati, named for one of Kalel’s favorite words. “Highlight of the night,” Kalel and Chef Nino say, “was when they told us that they were ‘blown away by the food.’”

Who’s excited for their concert tonight? We know we are!
