Celebrate friendship in the Korean Film Festival 2024

In celebration of the 75th year of friendship between South Korea and the Philippines, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines is hosting the 2024 Korean Film Festival.

The festival for this milestone anniversary is titled “Chingu Kita!” or “You are my friend” and it will feature five films that highlight friendship.

First on their lineup is the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards’ best film Smugglers, an action-packed movie about trust and survival. Also included is the heartwarming comedy Love Reset, the short film Picnic which is about childhood friendship and adventure.

Our Season is a movie on the bonds of friends and family while Inseparable Bros portrays the unbreakable connection between two brothers.

These five films can be enjoyed for free at SM Mall of Asia, SM City Baguio, SM Seaside City Cebu, and SM City Davao from September 27 to 29.

Watch the action crime thriller film “I, The Executioner”

Fans of action films, rejoice! South Korean action crime thriller film “I, The Executioner” is now showing in cinemas.

It follows veteran detective Seo Do Cheol, played by Hwang Ju Min, and his team at Major Crimes unit as they join forces with rookie cop Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In) to track down a serial killer.

This film earned praises from international film critics after its world premiere in Cannes’ Midnight Screening section in May. It has also been shown at the Special Presentations section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival this month.

Multi-awarded director Ryoo Seung Wan is hailed for bringing back to the big screen Detective Seo Do Cheol whose story is the subject of 2015 film Veteran. He also directed the film Smugglers which is also showing this weekend as part of the 2024 Korean Film Festival in select SM Cinemas.

Groove at the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 National Finals

Witness Filipino talent showcased through dance diversity and freestyle creativity at the national finals of Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 happening this weekend.

After regional match-ups held in different parts of the country, dancers will now battle it out to land the coveted spot at the World Finals happening in Mumbai, India in November.

Catch the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 National Finals happening on Saturday, September 28th at Kilometer Zero, Rizal Park in Manila. Gates open at 3pm.

Have a fun family day at  “Like A Sponge” in SM Megamall

Explore the Bikini Bottom, as SM Supermalls celebrate the 25th anniversary of the most lovable sponge, SpongeBob.
