What To Do This Weekend

Go to a wedding and debut fair.

If you’re planning your debut or wedding, don’t miss the Before I Do: 31st Wedding & Debut Fair. It gathers some of the country’s top suppliers, so looking for the right company to work with for your special event is made easier. The suppliers who are part of the event include Nice Print Photography, Event Tree Wedding & Event Management, Hizon’s Catering, Seda Vertis North, Print Divas, Photoman, AMI Jewels, among many others. There are also promos and discounts that await the clients. Check out the event today until tomorrow, November 26, at the Megatrade Hall 3 in SM Megamall.

Check out an art festival.

The BGC Arts Center has organized the “Champion of Passions: Soulful Feats of Art,” which combines different fields of art in one fun, entertaining three-day event. There are plays, dance and music performances, art installations, workshops, and an art mart (which is a must-check out for the original, artisanal, and affordable artworks available—from crafts and wearable pieces to paintings, drawings, photography and prints to sculpture). See the schedule below and visit https://www.bgcartscenter.org for more info.

Watch a movie.

Kick back, relax, and watch a movie. Movies that are showing now include superhero movie Justice League, animated musical fantasy adventure film Coco, and biographical drama/romance film Breathe.

Go food shopping at a weekend market.

Try out something new and shop for one-of-a-kind gourmet food at Rockwell’s Weekend Market. Fresh, local, organic, and homemade goodies are up for grabs. Rockwell Weekend Market also ran last September. If you’ve checked it out before, you’ll be glad to know that there are new and exciting additions to its roster of local purveyors: BIOHogs (organic bacon and meats), Être & Sein Banana Pudding (New York’s best banana pudding), and Casa Del Formaggio (locally made Italian cheese). Aside from food, there are also artisanal goods that are worth adding to your Christmas shopping list as gifts for your loved ones. Rockwell Weekend Market happens for two consecutive weekends: November 25-26 and December 2-3. An event that aims to cater to the whole family, the organizers have also prepared free workshops such as the Infant & Toddler First Aid Workshop by Philippine Red Cross (November 25, 3:30PM-5:00PM and December 2, 10:00AM-11:30AM) and Bento Making by Bento Mommas (December 3, 2:00PM-3:00PM).
