10 Must-Watch Movies on iWantTFC

There are few things more comforting—to me, at least—than a good ol’ Filipino classic. Having grown up watching Filipino films on TV and in the cinema, grainy and cheesy and unbearably earnest, I’ve developed a soft spot for them. I’ll happily sit down with feel-good gems like Kung Ako Na Lang Sana and Wanted: Perfect Mother, or put on a light episode of Maging Sino Ka Man to play in the background as I work.

In Glorious, Angel Aquino and Tony Labrusca share a torrid affair with each other.

In Fan Girl, an obsessed teen girl spends an unforgettable night with her idol, Paulo Avelino.

Belle Douleur

Belle Douleur tells the story of a 45-year-old psychologist and a 20-year-old musician who have an affair. 

Seobok

Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum star in this sci-fi action film that revolves around a former intelligent agent who gets involved with the first human clone. 

Sana Maulit Muli

Sana Maulit Muli, starring Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach, tells the story of Agnes and Jerry and their attempt at a long-distance relationship.

The Kingmaker

The Kingmaker, directed by Lauren Greenfield, is a documentary that looks into former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ controversial political career.
