Nothing like a good ol’ Filipino film to soothe your pandemic woes

There are few things more comforting—to me, at least—than a good ol’ Filipino classic. Having grown up watching Filipino films on TV and in the cinema, grainy and cheesy and unbearably earnest, I’ve developed a soft spot for them. I’ll happily sit down with feel-good gems like Kung Ako Na Lang Sana and Wanted: Perfect Mother, or put on a light episode of Maging Sino Ka Man to play in the background as I work.
